Importing Contributions
Users can import contributions using the People Import option. During the import process, users have the option to map the Contribution Amount, Contribution Date, and Contribution Type.
If online contributions do not specify the Contribution Type (e.g., Credit Card), select the Contributions tab and assign them all as Credit Card contributions instead of adding a new column. Additionally, ensure the appropriate Candidate record is selected for these contributions. If not specified, they will default to the active candidate.
Date Formats
The following date formats are supported. When importing, the timezone is assumed to be the user's local time. If this is not the case, users will need to update the date to the correct time prior to importing. For example, ActBlue operates in Eastern Time (ET), while a campaign might be in Mountain Time (MT). Contributions made close to midnight may not be accurately reflected unless the date is updated before importing.
