How Plaid Works

Edited

Plaid is a third-party service used by Venmo, Cash App, and more to provide connections to 12,000+ financial institutions. Plaid works two main ways to securely access your bank account.

Newer Banks

Chase, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, USAA, U.S. Bank, Robinhood, Citibank Online, American Express, Navy Federal Credit Union, and PNC Bank use the latest Plaid technology to connect to your bank. You may be redirected to your bank to log in. This is similar to a "Login in with Google", or "Login with Facebook" style.

Other Banks

Plaid will ask for your user name and password. If you have two factor authentication enabled it will ask for that as well. This information is sent to Plaid, not Campaign Deputy.

After the bank is connected, Plaid will check for new transactions a couple times a day. When that occurs, Plaid will let Campaign Deputy know. We do not have direct access to your account and cannot perform any transactions on your account.
