Adding Required CAA Records: Hostinger

Edited

Depending on the security settings of your domain provider you may see the following warning with your domain in the Settings:

A security setting on your domain may impact your DNS Verification.

To resolve this warning you will need to add the following 4 new CAA DNS records in your domain provider.

  • amazon.com

  • amazontrust.com

  • awstrust.com

  • amazonaws.com

Step 1: Login

  1. Go to the Hostinger website.

This applies to all hosting providers with Hostinger the most common we see this issue.

  2. Log in to your account.

Step 2: Open Your Domain's DNS Settings

  1. In hPanel, go to Domains (or Websites->Manage if that's how you access it).

  2. Click the domain name you want to edit.

  3. Open the DNS Zone / DNS Records / DNS Editor.

Step 4: Add the Four CAA Records

Add one record for each of these values.

For each record:

  1. Click Add Record.

  2. Record Type: CAA.

  3. Host / Name: @ (or leave blank if Hostinger uses blank for the main domain).

  4. Flag: 0.

  5. Tag: issue.

  6. Value (one per record) :

    • amazon.com

    • amazontrust.com

    • awstrust.com

    • amazonaws.com

  7. TTL: Leave the default.

  8. Save

You should then see the four CAA records, each with the tag issue and one of the values above.
