FEC In-Kind Contributions

For Campaign Deputy, In-Kind contributions can be added to the Contributions area as a type of In-Kind. You will have a In-Kind Description box available when selected to enter in the description as it's a required field.

The FEC Reports require that an In-Kind contribution count as a Contribution and count as a Expenditure to allow In-Kinds to not affect the Cash on Hand for a campaign.

Do not double enter an In-Kind as a Disbursement.

Double entry is not required as when the report is generated, Campaign Deputy will count In-Kind contributions as Expenditure on the appropriate line. We will also itemize on both, if it meets the requirements of the FEC.

In-Kind Contributions for Federal Committees inflate the Contribution total while Campaign Deputy calculate Total Raised as cash, not in-kinds. You will see a descripency for the two along with any refunds if you strictly compare contributions.
