Virginia COMET Reporting

COMET is the Virginia Department of Elections online campaign finance filing system. Campaign Deputy can generate your Campaign Finance Reports in the correct format for the COMET system.

To gather your report, first view the Compliance Report in Campaign Deputy to make sure that you have taken care of all outstanding items.

Then, head to “Disclosure” to create and generate your finance report.

After the report is generated, you can download the report from Campaign Deputy and import it into the COMET system.

Please note that if you need to submit a Large Contribution Pre Election report, you can access that under “Create Report.”
